There is a very beautiful and interesting place in the outskirts of Moscow. A real forest fairytale lives there. Abramtsevo is a really wonderful world, where both Russian nature and a creation of writers and painters join together. Abramtsevo is situated on the tallest right bank of the river Vorya.
Here you can see an ancient oak on the lawn. It’s hard to imagine, but it is three hundred years old. And it probably remembers the first owners of Abramtsevo: S.Aksakov and S.Mamontov. By the way S.Mamontov built the first long railway from Moscow to Sergiev-Posad. There is a forest izba with hen’s legs, which was made by a project of V.Polenov, as well as a tiny forest hut, a miracle house and a huge fantastic mosaic bench.
Just have a look at this magnificent pond and a quiet river with small bridges! They look like a fascinating painting of Vasnetsov or Repin. Abramtsevo was the centre of cultural life of Russia in XIX century. It is unsurprisingly that so beautiful place could inspive such famous writers as N.Gogol, S.Aksakov, F.Tyutchev, I.Turgenev and other.
If you come to Abramtsevo, you will not spare about it!
