I would like to tell you about the district, where I live. Its name is Ivanovskoye.
Ivanovskoye District is an administrative district (raion) of Eastern Administrative Okrug, and one of the 125 raions of Moscow.
In the 16th century the present-day district was a village, which was called Ivanovskoye. During The Time of Troubles it had been destroyed and was rebuilt only in 50 years.
In 1960, the part of the village Ivanovskoye became a part of Moscow Oblast (the city of Reutov), and the other part was retroceded to Moscow.
Coat of arms of Ivanavskoye district is a Blue shield, which depicts a silver dove, framed with golden rays. Under the dove we can see gold oak branches with acorns.
An image of the Silver Dove in golden rays is a symbol of the Holy Spirit. Thus, the Dove symbolizes the Church of the Nativity of John the Baptist, which is located on the territory of the district since 16 century.
Golden oak branches indicate Terletskaya dubrava which is a unique green array.
