St Petersburg is my hometown and I really love and am proud of it. Living in such a beautiful city as St Petersburg, our family cannot help walking in the our city’s parks and squares. Sometimes we can spend all the day by walking in a park, having a rest on comfortable benches and enjoying wonderful sights of nature.
Our best-loved park is Tavricheskiy Garden. It is established around the Tavricheskiy palace, which was constructed by Catherine the Great for duke Potyomkin-Tavricheskiy. The palace was inspired in Old Classicism style. The manor includes a big garden with sweet greenhouses, artificial ponds and park pavilions. In the middle of XIX century the garden was opened for visitors. In wintertime there were ice rinks and sleighing tracks on the ponds. Nowadays, one the Garden's territory there is located a greenhouse with unique uncommon plants. In the park there is an ice rink, which is always opened for visitors. The straight alleys, amazing foot bridges and pleasant atmosphere make it inimitable and unique.
Our hometown is well-known all over the world for it’s own mystery and unforgettable sights and points. I think, talking about every part of it, you depict it at all as the spirit of St Petersburg can be found in everything there.
