There is a village Znamenka in Nerchinsk. It is known that the first Cossack Cadet Corps in the Transbaikal was opened in this place. And later a museum was opened in this corps. It collects evidences of the history of the local Cossacks. This museum is young, but there are many exhibits there. There are exhibits which tell about mode of life of Cossacks. There is a red corner of Cossacks in this museum. It was the main place in the house of Cossack. They sat with guests in that corner. There was a samovar there. There was the iconostas in that corner. And there were other exhibits in this museum. For instance, there are clothes of Cossacks in this museum. And there is a saber of the Cossack Kazantsev. It was found in the cache and taken in one of the ruined farmsteads. And there is a furnace of Cossack’s house in this museum. There are elements of Cossacks weapon. This museum is a very interesting place!
