Меня зовут Слава, я учусь в 9 классе физико-математического профиля. С детства увлекаюсь музыкой, окончил музыкальную школу по классу аккордеона, неоднократно участвовал и становился призёром городских и республиканских конкурсов.

I live in Sterlitamak and I want to tell you about its history.
1766 - Sterlitamak was founded as a port on the Sterlya-river for the distribution of salt.
1781 - It was granted town status.
1782 – Sterlitamak got its coat of arms.
1839 - The first educational establishment (church school) was opened.
1837-1864 - Cathedral of Our Lady of Kazan was built. (It was destroyed in 1935.)
1870 - The building of Sterlitamak City Duma was constructed.
1917 – Sterlitamak began to publish its own newspaper.
1919 – The first professional Bashkir drama theatre was founded.
1919-1922 - Sterlitamak was the capital of the Bashkir Autonomous Soviet Socialistic Republic.
1930 - Sterlitamak District was created (at that time 24,000 people lived in Sterlitamak)
1932 - Oil extraction was started near the city. The district was called “second Baku”.
1940 – Teachers Institute was opened (now Academy).
1941-1945 – More than 16 thousand people went to the war, 9 thousand perished, 14 citizens were awarded the title “Hero of the Soviet Union”.
1941 - The factory "Red Proletarian" (from Baku), Odessa Machine-Tool Plant, Moscow Shoe Factory, and Voronezh State Drama Theatre were evacuated to Sterlitamak.
1943 – A military plant "Vanguard" and soda plant started their work.
1944 – Construction Machine Plant began to work.
1946 – The Russian Drama Theatre was opened.
1961 - The first trolleybus line in Sterlitamak was put into operation.
1964 – Chemical plant (“Caustic”) was built.
1997, 2002, 2005 – Sterlitamak won the second prize in the contest “The most comfortable city in Russia”.
2000 – The anthem of the city “My Sterlitamak” was adopted.
2007 - Sterlitamak was awarded the title of "the most comfortable city in Russia," among cities with populations up to a million people.
