Vladivostok – the city of dreams!
Смирнов Максим Валерьевич,
Hello, everybody! I want to tell you some information about my native city – Vladivostok. The morning of Russia begins in this city. It's 7 hours earlier than in Moscow. Look at the map. You can see that Vladivostok spans on the Pacific coast in 30 kilometers! The heart of Vladivostok is a seaport. I love this city because there are no cities like Vladivostok in the world. It’s so beautiful I think! For example when dark night comes to this city, myriads of lights lit on the ships, harbor cranes and berths. When big ships come home in Vladivostok they meet in long beeps. Often grand cruise liners arrive here (you can see cruise liner and me on 1 of photos). Foreign tourists often say:”Vladivostok is European city with Asian face”. The most of people here learn Asian languages or do Asian martial arts. For example I learn Chinese and Japanese language and do aikido. Our city - is not only beginning of east sea of Russia. Here ends Grate Trans-Siberian Railway. It's surprisingly but Vladivostok is rather young city with 600-thousands population. It’s founded in 1860 and 151 years old now. The city symbolizes fish, cars, ships and etc. People like to call it: “Russian San-Francisco”. We have many showplaces. For example in the centre of our city a lot of houses which built at the end of 19th century. And we have a funicular, the only in Russian Far East. There are 3 under construction cable-stayed bridges and I think it’s very beautiful. Also here is wonderful fortress which built in the beginning of the 20th century and it has never used. Now it’s a museum!
Well, and as a result I want to tell you that I‘m very proud… Oh, not so. I’m VERY PROUD that I live in Vladivostok and it’s the most beautiful city in the world for me!
