I live in the Far East of Russia. My town Kavalerovo is situated in the eastern part of Primorsky Kray not far from the Japan Sea. It takes us about 40 minutes to come to the seaside.
I know for sure what I like the best in the place where I live. These are flowers! They are little guests which bring us new warm life. My friends and I like to go to the forest, to walk along the river and admire the first spring flowers. Snow is just starting to thaw and it is still rather cold but the Spring Adonis, our seaside snowdrop has already appeared.
There are other flowers in March and April. Some of them as violets love sunlight. They grow on the banks of the rivers. Others grow in a shade forming white glades. There are flowers with funny names – “Goose onions”. They don’t open in rainy weather. Spring flowers are fragile, bright and gentle. They inspire artists and poets.
A lot of primroses are put into the list of rare and endangered plants of the Far East and the Red Book. I’d like to protect all these flowers.
