Намзырай Сангына Аржаановна, 7 а класс
Hello, boys and girls! My name is Sangyna. I am from Kyzyl, the Republic of Tuva. I want to tell you about a unique festival. Every year there is a festival of live music “Ustuu-Khuree” in our republic. What is Ustuu-Khuree? It is a Buddhist monastery situated not far from the place of Chadaan which was destroyed in the years of repressions. Many musical groups and musicians come to Chadaan in summer and help local people to build a new Buddhist temple. In the evening the musicians show their performance.
Now the monastary is mostly built but musicians and singers still visit this place and perform their music: from classical, jazz to folklore and modern. During 10 years of the festival more than 30 musical groups of the Republic of Tuva as well musicians from Moscow, St.Petersburg, Krasnoyarsk and other cities of Russia, guests from the USA, France, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Finland, Norway, Poland, Japan took part in the festival of live music “Ustuu-Khuree”. During the festival Buddhist lamas practice religious rituals. All the participants of the festival may visit the ruins of the temple “Ustuu-Khuree”, touch its sacred walls, although they are destroyed but not dead.
My elder brothers and sisters go to this festival in Chadaan. When I grow I will also visit this place and listen to live music.
